Disposable underpads: sizes, uses and pack counts

Choose for the surface and intended user first. Underpad dimensions and package counts answer different questions.

By X9 · Published October 10, 2026

A disposable underpad is a surface-protection product. A bladder pad is worn in underwear. Adult diaper pants are another wearable format. Choosing between them starts with where the product will be used, rather than its color or how many items are in the package.

Underpads and wearable pads are different formats

The NIDDK's information on protective products distinguishes pads worn in underwear from large disposable pads used to protect chairs and beds. These products can help manage leaks; they do not treat the cause of bladder control problems.

Start with where you need protection
Product formatWhat to compare
Disposable underpadThe intended surface use, length and width, positioning instructions and count per package.
Wearable bladder padThe item's intended user, shape, fit in underwear and product-specific instructions.
Adult diaper pantsThe exact waist chart, wearable fit, intended use and package count.

How do you choose an underpad size?

  1. Measure the area you need to cover. Note both length and width of the relevant chair or bed area. A single measurement does not describe a rectangular pad.
  2. Use the product's listed dimensions. Compare the measured area with the exact selected option. A centimeter or inch dimension describes the footprint, not a tested absorbency capacity.
  3. Check its positioning instructions. Follow the supplied directions for the absorbent surface, backing and placement. Size does not tell you whether a pad stays fixed on every surface.
  4. Confirm that option is available. A historic chart or a different product's image is not proof a size is currently for sale.

What is currently offered for X9 ordinary underpads?

The X9 Disposable Underpads page currently offers one public size: 22 × 22 inches, listed as 56 × 56 cm, in a single pack of 50 pads. This is the ordinary-underpad option checked on October 10, 2026. Do not infer additional sizes from another underpad family. Use the live size and pack guide for current choices.

The inch and centimeter figures are the catalog's rounded labels. Comparing the complete length and width is more useful than treating a rounded conversion as an absorbency or quality claim.

Are all underpads suitable for pets?

No. Check the intended use for the exact item. X9's Activated Charcoal Underpads and Lavender Disposable Underpads have separate catalog entries and appear in the Pet Care catalog. That does not establish pet use for every ordinary adult-care underpad, or human use for a pet-only product. Follow the selected product's labeling.

How do you compare package value?

Check the selected size, pads per pack, packs per selling package and whole-package price. Total pads equal pads per pack multiplied by pack count. Cart quantity buys more of that selected package. Compare price per pad only after those counts are confirmed, and do not assume a larger footprint or a fragrance label means greater absorbency.

Do underpads replace other care?

Underpads provide a product format for surface protection. If you are dealing with bladder control symptoms, NIDDK recommends talking with a healthcare professional. Buying a protective product is separate from understanding or treating the cause.

Browse disposable underpads or compare the separate bladder control and incontinence pads catalog.
